The Beauty of God’s Creation

Sunday, December 1, 2013

As life goes on, we often forget to marvel at God’s creation. This morning, as I stood on the patio in Dunnsville, outside Ocho Rios, Jamaica, I gazed out at the sea and felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. In that quiet moment, I thanked God for the beauty of life and this moment of peace.

Each day brings its share of distractions and confusion. We often find ourselves asking God for guidance, only to hear that gentle reminder: “Be still and know that I am God.” While in Jamaica, I’ve faced one recurring question from the locals: “Why are you here when things are so hard?” I strive to ignore these doubts because it’s not about what I’m doing in Jamaica; it’s about what God is doing within me for the next level of my anointing. WOW!

The other day, as I sought direction, it struck me that I was experiencing a deeper level of the gift of faith. That realization was like a ton of bricks. “According as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministry; or he that teacheth, on teaching” (Romans 12:3-8).

For me, the true test comes when I must depend entirely on God for my needs, relinquishing the control I’m used to having. It’s not about being idle but about pursuing goals and desires while trusting that God will provide and open doors. The waiting period tests our faith the most.

I may not be able to quote all scriptures perfectly, but for those who can, are we truly living those scriptures? As Rev. Finis Jennings Dake writes in “God’s Plan for Man” (pg. 183):

“O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves because ye have brought no bread?” (Matthew 16:5-10). Wavering, questioning, worrying, fretting, complaining, discouragement, fear, or reasoning about how to receive God’s promises is pure unbelief. Such an approach never yields the desired results. So why not cleanse our lives of all unbelief and dare to believe God?

Well, I’m daring to believe in God. From biblical times to now, God always made a way for believers. If you believe with all your heart, God will work things out for you. Sometimes, it’s not in the way you expect, but it will be for your good for those who love the Lord.

As I write this blog, tears fall from my eyes, and I can only think of God’s goodness. If I keep my mind on Him, He will keep me in perfect peace. See you next time, and happy reading.
